Child and adolescent psychiatry
Child and adolescent psychiatry from a group practice of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers and marriage and family therapists. The practice says it has several mental health professionals who specialize in helping children with their behavioral health needs. Licensed psychologists can administer and interpret psychological tests, evaluate and diagnose, and write treatment plans; therapists use evidence-based psychotherapy such as cognitive behavioral therapy. Visits can be at an IPMG office or by HIPAA-compliant video (TelePsych), with restrictions depending on insurance. Most major insurances are accepted, including Medi-Cal and other government plans. Staff and clinicians speak many languages, including Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, Farsi, French, Hindi, Cantonese and Mandarin. The practice also sees adults and seniors, and runs a pediatric bipolar research study. Registry-listed clinicians include Jamie Currie (EdD, LMFT, BCBA), Shana Garcia (PsyD) and Haya Bahbah (PsyD).
