ABA behavior therapy and parent training
Applied behavior analysis practice led by a BCBA, serving children and families in Los Angeles and Orange counties from a main office in Gardena. Care starts with a detailed assessment, which can take up to two weeks and ends in a behavior plan. Behavior therapy sessions run from twice a week to five days a week depending on the severity of the behaviors. Parent training teaches reinforcement, motivation and replacement skills to one parent, a couple or a group of parents. The team also teaches new skills, covering areas such as eating, social behavior, hygiene and daily routines, and supports schools. It works with autism, ADHD, developmental delay, PDD-NOS, Down syndrome and intellectual disability, but a diagnosis is not required. The practice says insurance covers ABA for autism and related diagnoses and that it will help families find funding.
