ABA therapy

Up to age 21

Applied behavior analysis for children, adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorder, developmental and neurological disabilities, and others who need behavioral support. Every program starts with an individualized functional behavior assessment, followed by a function-based treatment plan that targets play, communication, self-help, adaptive, safety and self-management skills and behavior reduction, with caregiver training goals built in. Caregiver guidance uses a train-the-trainer, pyramidal model with modeling, rehearsal and feedback. Services take place in homes, schools, daycares, group homes and community settings throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties. The team includes BCBAs, RBTs and licensed clinical psychologists, and the site says it has a Spanish-speaking team. It accepts most major health insurance plans and is vendored with multiple regional centers; intake specialists guide families through starting, and a free consultation is offered.

Social skills groups (PEERS)

Up to age 21

Social skills group training for learners of all ages and their caregivers, using the evidence-based PEERS curriculum developed at UCLA. IGCN clinicians add applied behavior analysis strategies to the groups to strengthen results. Caregivers take part alongside their children. The practice also has an in-house clinical psychologist who provides one-on-one psychotherapy on a private-pay basis with flexible payment options. Families can reach intake by phone at the Gardena office or through the new client intake form on the website.
