Youth Basketball League
A recreational basketball league with no tryouts, open to beginners through experienced players in kindergarten through 8th grade. Players pick their own teammates and can stay with the same team season to season. A season runs about 10 weeks, typically August through November, with games usually on Saturdays (teams that can't make it can reschedule to Friday or Sunday). Teams can choose to practice twice a week. Games are played at indoor facilities in Rancho Cordova, with practice facilities in both Rancho Cordova and Folsom, and are refereed by NCOA officials. Trophies and a jersey are included in registration, and parents must attend all games. The fall championship game for select years is played at the Golden 1 Center. Full grants are available for players with financial need.
