Summer programs for students with dyslexia and language-based learning disabilities
Westmark School's summer programs are for rising Grades K–12 students with dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia and other language-based learning disabilities. The flagship Summer Smarts program is joined by Camp Westmark: Ready Readers, a new five-week camp for Grades K–2 learners, plus credit-earning courses, two-week intensives and a counselor-in-training program for Upper School students. Programs are held on the school's Encino campus at 5461 Louise Avenue. The school's year-round faculty are trained in evidence-based approaches for language-based learning disabilities, including Orton-Gillingham, Lindamood-Bell and Slingerland, and the school describes a student-teacher ratio of 5 to 1 during the school year. Families can find details by grade on the school's summer programs pages and in its Summer Programs FAQ.
