Social Skills Groups
Ages 4–17
Age-based social skills groups for children, pre-teens and teens, from the younger Early Explorers and Junior Adventurers groups through Future Leaders, Rising Scholars and a Teen Group. Sessions combine direct teaching with guided games, coached role-play, team problem-solving and peer practice on starting conversations, reading social cues, taking turns, handling frustration and repairing conflicts. The practice cites PEERS at UCLA, Zones of Regulation and CBT-informed approaches. Placement is based on age, communication style, goals and fit rather than a diagnosis. Groups meet in person at the Encino office, with virtual groups for selected ages. A free consultation comes first, and the practice also offers individual therapy and parent workshops.
