ABA therapy and caregiver mentorship

Home- and clinic-based Applied Behavior Analysis for children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities, delivered with a Person-Centered philosophy. Care starts with a Functional Behavior Assessment of about 8-10 hours that ends in a written treatment plan. Behavioral Health Treatment is offered at a comprehensive or focused level, works on communication, listening, socialization, adaptive and self-care skills and coping with emotions, and each program is supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. A Caregiver Mentorship program, weekly or monthly, can be added or offered separately. The practice accepts families with private health insurance and Medi-Cal, coordinates with the child's primary care physician at least every 6 months, and is on the state's certified nonpublic agency list for school district placements. A comprehensive diagnostic evaluation is requested at intake. Serves the San Fernando Valley from Encino.
