Child and adolescent therapy for kids and teens who are struggling to cope with their emotions. Therapists help children build social interaction skills, name and express feelings, and learn coping skills in ways they can grasp, using children's natural curiosity and playfulness. Teens work on self-expression, identity, peer influence and other challenges. Parents are included in the process, balanced with the client's privacy. Approaches include art therapy, play therapy, solution-focused brief therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy; all therapists have experience treating trauma. Offices are in Los Angeles (Sunset Blvd), Arcadia and Burbank, with video and phone telehealth also offered. Day, evening and weekend appointments are available; office hours are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. Accepts Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Medi-Cal, Cigna, Health Net, Humana, Medicare, MHN, Molina, Kaiser, Optum and United Healthcare, with a sliding scale for private pay.
