Early intervention speech and occupational therapy
Early intervention speech therapy and occupational therapy for infants and toddlers from birth to 3 with developmental delays, delivered by licensed therapists who build an individualized program across communication, social-emotional and adaptive skills, sensory processing, and fine and gross motor function. Speech therapy covers receptive and expressive language and social skills; occupational therapy covers daily activities, sensory processing, motor skills and play, working closely with families. Families can be seen at the Downey clinic, which has several treatment rooms and an occupational therapy gym, and therapists also work in the field. Every referral comes through a regional center; the group is vendored with South Central Los Angeles Regional Center and does not accept private insurance. About 80% of providers are fluent in Spanish. Each provider is supervised by two professionals. Open Mon-Fri 9-5 and Sat 9-2.
