Assessments and therapy services

Up to age 21

Assessment and therapy services for children and young people with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, intellectual disability and mental health needs, with listed client ages from toddlers (1-5) through adolescents (13-19). BEAM is a CDE-certified nonpublic agency, so school districts can contract it for psycho-educational, speech-language, occupational therapy, adapted physical education, functional behavior and educationally related mental health assessments, plus behavior intervention, counseling, nursing, social work and parent training. It also accepts Regional Center Self-Determination Program funding for psychological, speech, AAC, assistive technology and occupational therapy assessments, behavior skills training, social skills groups, early intervention, respite and family training. Staff include BCBAs, licensed psychologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists and school nurses. Open Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

• Insurance: Paid by a school district through an IEP (a nonpublic agency or school)
• Where care happens: In the family’s home; Out in the community: parks, stores, playdates; At the child’s school or daycare
