Broadacres Avenue Elementary Visual and Performing Arts Magnet

Broadacres Avenue VAPA Magnet (K-5)

Ages 5–11 · Free

Broadacres Avenue Elementary Visual and Performing Arts Magnet is a public school run by the Los Angeles Unified School District at 19424 South Broadacres Avenue in Carson. Its name marks it as a magnet with a visual and performing arts focus, which the state directory also records, so it is one of the district's arts-themed choices rather than a standard neighborhood school. It serves kindergarten through fifth grade, ages about 5 to 11. The school is tuition-free and runs in person, and the directory lists no dual-language program. Magnet places are not simply assigned by home address, so families apply through the district's magnet process. Carson is a city in the South Bay region of Los Angeles County, south of downtown. It suits a Carson family whose child likes drawing, music, dance or drama and wants those in a free K-5 school.
