Learning Disorder & Dyslexia Testing

A psychoeducational evaluation for children and teens who struggle with reading, writing or math despite working hard. Dr. Salanga tests cognitive functioning, attention and executive functioning, memory, reading, writing, math, fine motor and visual-motor skills, oral language and emotional screening. When testing points to reading difficulty, she may add measures such as phonological processing, rapid naming and orthographic processing. Testing is about 5–6 hours of one-on-one work over 1–3 appointments, with a feedback meeting about 2–3 weeks later and a full written report with recommendations and accommodations. Most comprehensive evaluations are a flat fee of $4,625 or $5,700. The practice does not take insurance but can give a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.
