Summer Camp

Outdoor and nature camp · Ages 4–13 · $985/week · Full day · 9:15am–3:30pm

Tumbleweed South is for campers entering pre-K to 2nd grade (at least 4 years old), Tumbleweed North for grades 3 to 8. Groups stay with their own grade, with ratios as low as 5 campers to 1 counselor in South. Buses pick up between 8:00 and 9:00am and reach camp around 9:15; they load at about 3:30pm and return to stops between 3:45 and 5:00pm. A $75 registration fee is added per child each summer. Registering before December 31 earns a locked-in early rate.

Winter Camp

Outdoor and nature camp · Ages 4–13 · $815/week · Full day · 9am–4pm

A smaller version of summer camp without swimming, with extras such as a salsa cooking competition. Rain days move to a nearby indoor site. No bus service, but a Winter Camp Express shuttle runs from Brentwood Science Magnet (9:00am drop-off, 4:00pm pick-up) and Grant Elementary (8:40am, 4:15pm). Drop-off is 8:45 to 9:15am and pick-up 3:45 to 4:15pm. Register by the week; no camp December 25.

Birthday parties

Party venue · Ages 4+ · $1,300/party

Birthday parties at Tumbleweed Day Camp are three-hour blocks, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 2 to 5 p.m., held on weekends except in June, July and August, at the Tumbleweed North campus. Kids ages 4 and up have free play on the tire hill and climbing structures for 20 minutes, then take three or four camp activities of about 25 to 30 minutes, such as Ga-Ga, archery, a nature hike, field games, a treasure hunt, tie-dye T-shirts (bring your own shirts) and a petting zoo. Three Tumbleweed staff run the games and help with arrival, cake and food, and cleanup. The base price covers up to 25 participants; add-ons include an inflatable obstacle course, a climbing wall, a ropes course or pony rides. A $650 deposit holds the date.
