Summer camp for learning enrichment
A summer day camp built around one-to-one, interest-based academic and social skills support, following the DIR Floortime approach with child-led play and guided play with peers. It is meant for neurodivergent learners, including twice-exceptional, autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, dysgraphic and dyscalculic children, and for those needing academic catch-up. Each child has on-site clinical supervision, a matched instructional provider, built-in movement and sensory regulation, planned calming breaks and flexible seating. Runs June 15 to August 7, Monday to Friday, full day 9-3 or half days 9-12 or 12-3. Families enroll for 2 to 11 weeks. Weekly progress snapshots and a back-to-school plan are provided. He acts as the child's advocate and case manager and works with neuropsychologists, teachers and other allied professionals. Educational therapy addresses dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD and executive functioning, and auditory and visual processing. Franklin also offers an academic management approach to tutoring that blends educational therapy principles, such as executive functioning support, with subject expertise, plus parent counseling and training. The agency is certified by the California Department of Education as a nonpublic agency, so school districts can pay for services through an IEP. Ages served run from preschool through young adulthood, and adults are seen too. Inquiries and consultations start through the website's inquiry form.
