Psychological testing for children and teens
Clinical psychologists carry out standardized psychological evaluations that look at cognitive, emotional and relational functioning. Testing can address questions such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, learning disorders, giftedness, conflicting past diagnoses and why a child struggles at school, and an autism-only evaluation is offered. An assessment takes 1-4 appointments, once or twice a week, with a feedback session within 3 weeks. It includes a written report with diagnostic impressions and recommendations, a child-friendly letter, and a 90-minute feedback meeting. The practice can attend IEP or SSPT meetings. Comprehensive testing is a flat $4,950, autism-only testing $2,150, and private school admissions IQ testing $650. The practice does not bill insurance but provides a superbill for reimbursement.
