## ABA therapy (center-based and home-based)

Up to age 21

One-to-one applied behavior analysis for children and adolescents with autism, delivered by board-certified behavior technicians under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts using the CARD curriculum. Sessions take place at a CARD center, where children can interact with staff and other patients and, when appropriate, are matched by age and level of functioning for peer play dates, or in natural settings such as the home, school, playgrounds and community. Each plan is individualized, and caregivers learn how to extend ABA at home. Early intervention programs for young children combine naturalistic and structured ABA with a strong emphasis on learning through play. A Learning Readiness Program builds pre-school skills such as communication, attention and following directions. CARD works with most major insurance plans, and the regional center lists it as a vendor. The site says there is no waitlist for ABA services.

## Social skills group

Up to age 21

A structured social skills group that helps children build confidence, emotional insight and the ability to handle new or challenging situations at school, at home and in the community. It is one of CARD's services alongside its ABA programs, and the regional center lists CARD as a vendor. Group size, schedule and ages for the Woodland Hills site are not published.
