## Child and teen CBT therapy

Up to age 21

Cognitive behavioral therapy for children and teens, with a main specialty in anxiety and OCD. Treatment draws on CBT, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based CBT; Habit Reversal Training and CBIT are used for body-focused repetitive behaviors and tics, and executive skills coaching is offered for ADHD. Clinicians on the team treat separation anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, selective mutism, depression and trauma. Parents are involved at a level decided together with the teen, and are taught how accommodating OCD behaviors keeps the disorder going. Treatment can be a brief 5-10 sessions or longer-term. Sessions are in person at the Torrance office (a second office is in Glendale) or by live video for anyone in California. A free initial phone consultation is offered. Sport psychology services are also available, including help for youth athletes.
