## Children's mental health clinical services

Ages 2+

A full array of mental health services for children and youth ages 2-21 (adults are seen too). A therapist completes an intake with the child and parent or caregiver, a full assessment, and a treatment plan. Services may include individual therapy, family therapy, case management, psychiatric evaluation and medication support. Programs include evidence-based Prevention and Early Intervention practices (Managing and Adapting Practices, Trauma-Focused CBT, Seeking Safety), the Children's Full-Service Partnership, field-based mental health services, outpatient care, a Multidisciplinary Assessment Team and specialized foster care mental health services. IRL is a contract provider with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, funded by MHSA, Medi-Cal and County General Funds. Services are provided in Service Areas 3 and 7 from offices in South Pasadena and Commerce, in English, Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Armenian and Tagalog.

## About Institute for the Redesign of Learning

The Institute for the Redesign of Learning (IRL) began in 1974 when founder Nancy J. Lavelle, Ph.D., opened the Almansor Education Center with four students in a church classroom in Alhambra. It now runs six programs for people from infancy through adulthood, many with special needs, serving over 2,300 children, students and clients a year across greater Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley. Its programs are Almansor Academy (a CDE-certified nonpublic special education day school), Westmoreland Academy, Clinical Services, Community Outreach, Early Childhood Education, and Transition & Adult Services.
