## Peninsula Montessori School, Redondo Beach

Ages 1–5

Peninsula Montessori School's Redondo Beach campus at 907 Knob Hill is an authentic Montessori preschool that serves children from 18 months through age five. Children choose their materials and work at their own pace, and they stay with a task until they finish it rather than switching subjects on a bell. Teachers mostly observe and give lessons when a child is ready. The classrooms are small and mixed-age, and lead teachers hold Montessori credentials from AMS or AMI. The school has taught children in the South Bay since 1978 and its day care center license allows up to 84 children. Tours run on weekday mornings while classes are in session.
