## Speech and language therapy

Up to age 21

Individualized speech-language therapy that begins with a complimentary phone consultation and a full evaluation: parent interview, observation, standardized testing and a written diagnostic report with goals about two weeks later. Evaluations may be done in the home. Ongoing sessions run 30, 45 or 60 minutes, with multiple sessions a week available, and parents are expected on site by the end of direct treatment. Areas include articulation, expressive and receptive language, stuttering, voice, social pragmatics and childhood apraxia of speech. Children served include those with autism, ADHD, developmental delay, Down syndrome, hearing loss, feeding disorders and sensory processing differences. Techniques include sensory integration tools such as swings and crash pads, PROMPT, Hanen More Than Words, Beckman Oral Motor and the Get Permission feeding approach. Funded through Harbor Regional Center as a vendor for Early Start. Clinic open Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm.
