## Play therapy and psychological evaluations

Up to age 21

Play therapy sessions of 30 to 45 minutes (depending on age and insurance) let children express feelings and practice skills through play, with parents debriefed after each session. Therapists include licensed and supervised associates, and the practice is led by a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. Comprehensive psychological evaluations use standardized tests, interviews and observation to guide diagnosis and treatment plans; they involve five to six appointments, with feedback about a week after the last testing visit, and typically take 3 to 4 weeks overall. Also offered are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EEG neurofeedback for anxiety, attention and sleep, and psychiatric medication management by a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Many private insurance plans are accepted, discounts apply for paying up front, and superbills are provided. Adults are seen as well.
