## Summer Climbing Camps (Los Angeles area)

Sports camp · Ages 7–12

Camps are for ages 7 to 12, with 3 to 4 hours of instruction a day; rope gyms teach belaying. No experience needed. Campers are not supervised outside camp hours, and camps can be canceled with 7 days' notice if too few sign up. Summer 2027 weeks are not posted yet.

## After School Climbing Camps (Los Angeles area)

Sports camp · Ages 7–12

Fall camps run August to December (registration opened June 1) and winter/spring camps run January to May (registration opens September 1). Rope gyms teach belaying. Session days and times are listed on each gym's booking page. Access to Climbing discounts are available for families on government assistance.

## Youth Club Team (Los Angeles area)

Sports program · Ages 7+ · $175/month

Climbers need at least one climbing camp or three months of climbing in the past year, and entry is by coach assessment with a wait list. Dues are $175 a month plus a $50 initiation fee. Verdigo Boulders runs one Youth & Kids Club for ages 8 to 18, and Class 5 starts Kids Club at 8. The Post lists days but not times. Team Touchstone (Development, Training and Competition) practices at Cliffs of Id and The Post.

## Climbing and youth programs

Indoor play · Ages 1–17 · $30/visit

The Post is a climbing gym at 1100 North Fair Oaks Avenue in Pasadena, run as a Touchstone Climbing gym. It has a 40-foot lead wall, about 22,500 square feet of climbing terrain, 6,500 square feet of bouldering and 16,000 square feet of rope climbing. Youth programs include climbing classes, private lessons, youth teams and youth camps, and the gym also runs group events and fitness classes, including several styles of yoga. Children 0 to 12 are free on a family membership, and a day pass for kids 12 and under is $30. Children 13 to 17 are $110 a month on a family membership. The gym is open Monday to Thursday from 7 AM to 11 PM, Friday from 7 AM to 10 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 7 PM. On weekends, members have early access from 9 to 10 AM.
