## Child and teen therapy and group therapy

Individual therapy for children and teens from a licensed child and adult psychologist in downtown Pasadena. After an initial consultation, the family builds a treatment plan that may combine play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), work with parents on handling behavioral conflicts, and family sessions. Conditions named include ADHD, OCD, depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, Tourette's and tic disorders, oppositional defiant disorder and childhood trauma. It also covers self-esteem, school behavior problems, social skills, bullying, parents' divorce and the needs of gifted children. A boys' group, GOALS (Growth Opportunities for Achieving Life Success), works on emotion expression, impulse control and repairing conflicts. Psychological testing for learning disabilities and ADD/ADHD, and video therapy, are also offered. A free 15-minute phone consultation comes first.
