## Inclusive preschool with embedded therapies

Ages 3–4

The Preschool Inclusion Program provides multidisciplinary, developmentally appropriate support for children with disabilities within a general education preschool classroom. Interventions and therapies are embedded in typical early childhood activities, with an emphasis on practicing natural social and communication skills with peers, individualized instructional techniques and classroom modification planning. It serves children ages 3 to 4 who are eligible for special education. The program is certified by the California Department of Education as a Nonpublic Agency and contracts with LAUSD, so placement is through the school district. It operates at the California State University, Northridge Child and Family Studies Center, which is NAEYC-accredited and licensed by the California Department of Social Services.
