## ABA therapy and behavior assessment

Up to age 21

Individualized one-on-one ABA therapy designed and overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, who observes the child, reviews progress data and adjusts goals. Services start with a Functional Behavior Assessment built on caregiver interviews, direct observation and standardized tools, and the findings are submitted to health insurance to secure ongoing funding. Caregiver coaching teaches families to use ABA strategies at home and in the community, and the practice asks families to commit to the process for ongoing services. Goals include communication, frustration tolerance, emotional flexibility, social connection and independence, at home, in school and in the community. Services are covered by most major health insurance carriers. Families can book a 45-minute phone consultation about a child who is behind developmentally, struggles to communicate or cope, or shows unsafe behaviors.
