## Monterey Vista Elementary (K-6)

Ages 5–12 · Free

Monterey Vista Elementary is a tuition-free public school at 901 East Graves Avenue in Monterey Park, serving kindergarten through sixth grade, roughly ages 5 to 12. The Garvey Elementary School District runs it as a traditional school, not a magnet, virtual or alternative program, and the state directory flags it as multilingual. Admission is by neighborhood, so families who live in the attendance area enroll there, and the school's home page links to the district's online enrollment for new students. The school's motto is "Be Safe. Be Respectful. Be Responsible," and its news posts include a DELAC meeting for English learner families and a 2026 Back to School Night. The district's mission, posted on the site, stresses academic skills, moral and ethical values, and respect for diversity.
