## Summer day camp for boys

Up to age 21

A boys' summer day camp in Los Angeles that describes its goal as a spectacular camp experience in a safe and wholesome environment. The day includes swimming twice a week, sports leagues that build skills and sportsmanship around a championship trophy, and trips ranging from go-carts to amusement parks. A learning program, which the camp calls its heartbeat, is meant to maintain the skills campers gained in school and support success in the coming year. Camp Yedid is run by three rabbis, Avi Schulman, Yaakov Jacknis and Shneur Levine, who are yeshiva teachers with many years as head counselors; two of them are reachable by cell phone before, during and after camp. It is on the Lanterman Regional Center vendor list for camping services, so regional center families may be able to use their funding. Two sessions run in summer: June 24 to July 17 and July 20 to August 12.
