## Private Violin Lessons

Ages 3+ · $30–$45/session

Private violin lessons are taught at the Pease Conservatory of Music at 2130 L Street in midtown Sacramento, and online. Teachers include Cheyenne Lee, who takes new students of all ages and skill levels, and Olivia Rios, who teaches the youngest students, ages 3 and up, and is welcoming new students in November 2026 on Sundays. Program director Ingrid Tracy is a trained Suzuki violin instructor who teaches classical, fiddle and jazz styles, works with beginners and technique rehabilitation, and offers audition coaching. High school student teachers act as practice helpers at $30 to $45 per session. Lessons are standing weekly appointments billed per lesson, with a 48-hour cancellation policy. ## About Sacramento Institute for Music & the Arts

Sacramento Institute for Music & the Arts (SacIMA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by violinist Ingrid Tracy. It grew out of a beginning violin program at Didion Elementary, started in the early 2000s as part of the Sacramento Philharmonic's String Fever program, and was established as an organization in 2013. It runs string classes in area schools and offers private violin lessons at the historic Pease Conservatory of Music in midtown Sacramento, where it is based. Lessons are available in person and online.
