## Music therapy

Music & art therapy · Up to age 21

Music therapy that uses active music-making, listening, movement, songwriting and guided musical interaction to support communication, emotional regulation, sensory processing, motor skills, confidence and self-expression. Sessions are led by credentialed, board-certified music therapists and are personalized and goal-oriented; no musical experience is needed, and the aim is wellbeing and skills rather than academic music instruction. It supports children with developmental or learning differences, autism, ADHD, sensory processing needs and trauma, as well as teens and adults. The conservatory also teaches adaptive music lessons for students with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, ADHD and other developmental differences. Sessions can happen in the family's home, at the Los Angeles studio or online. The provider is a Westside Regional Center and North Los Angeles County Regional Center vendor. A free trial lesson and free registration are offered.
