## Child and teen therapy (CBT)

Up to age 21

Cognitive behavioral therapy from a licensed clinical psychologist trained at the UCLA Semel Institute in child and adolescent anxiety, OCD, mood, ADHD and autism. Methods include exposure and response prevention for OCD and phobias, habit reversal therapy for tics and hair pulling or skin picking, DBT skills, mindfulness-based strategies, social skills training and family therapy, tailored to age, goals and family context. Areas of focus include anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, mood, chronic tic disorder, school and social issues, parenting, divorce and co-parenting. The practice says it has experience with children, and its autism and ADHD work is described for teens from about age 13 and adults. Sessions are in person at the Marina del Rey office or by secure video anywhere in California, Monday to Friday 10am to 7pm. Aetna is accepted; other plans are discussed on a free 15-minute phone consult. Venmo and Zelle are accepted, with a 24-hour cancellation policy.
