## Afterschool Tennis Programs

Ages 4+

10 & Under follows USTA guidelines with smaller courts and balls and meets 4-5:30pm; Essential Tennis and High School Tennis meet 4:30-6:30pm and prepare players for school teams and tournaments. Students choose their days (two a week recommended). The program runs September to June, billed in 4-week cycles. The academy also teaches on-campus classes at some Long Beach schools.

## About Valter Paiva Tennis Academy

Academy at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center in Long Beach, built by coach Valter Paiva, who started teaching there in 1993. It runs weekday after-school programs, camps, private lessons and classes at partner schools.
