## Birthday art parties

Up to age 12

The Art Spot Long Beach, at 4356 Atlantic Avenue, is an art studio that runs classes in several media and hosts kids' birthday parties built around making something. Past party themes have included treasure boxes and friendship bracelets, so each guest works on a project during the party. The studio also runs a monthly Kids Night Out workshop, an evening session where children make art with other kids. It suits a child who likes crafts and hands-on projects more than active games, and it fits a birthday with an art focus.
