## PALS Los Angeles

Ages 12+ · $2,300/week

A week-long overnight camp held at the University of La Verne for participants with Down syndrome (Partners) and similarly aged peers without Down syndrome. Each Partner is paired one-to-one with a Peer, and pairs join teams of 4-5 other pairs led by a volunteer leader. Teams live in dorms for 7 days and 6 nights, take part in on-campus activities and go on off-campus trips. The 2026 session ran June 28 to July 4 with about 60 pairs, ages 12-17 and 18-30, with a licensed medical professional and two medical volunteers on site. The cost for a participant with Down syndrome was $2,300 for the week, with waiver funding, payment plans and partial or full scholarships available. 2027 dates and locations are expected at the end of November.
