## Pediatric speech-language therapy

Up to age 21

Pediatric speech-language evaluations look at a child's speech and language skills, including tongue thrust, apraxia and social skills, and set the needs for therapy. Treatment is planned with the family and school and covers vocabulary and sentence structure building, articulation training and social skills building, with parent education alongside. The practice has worked with clients from 6 months of age (adults are seen too). Every new client starts with an initial evaluation, though a speech evaluation from another provider within the past 3 months can be used. Sessions are typically 50 minutes. Visits happen at home, office or school in La Crescenta, La Canada, Montrose, Glendale and Pasadena, or by video anywhere in California. Mandarin Chinese services are available. The practice is private pay and gives superbills for out-of-network reimbursement; a free phone consultation is offered.
