## Pediatric speech-language therapy

Up to age 17

A boutique pediatric speech-language practice offering assessments, individualized treatment, IEP support and consultations. An assessment starts with a phone consultation, then in-clinic testing with standardized tools, play-based observation and a language sample, followed by a written report and a results meeting. Therapy is play-based and sensory-rich, including an outdoor space, and paired or small-group sessions are offered for preschoolers, school-age children and adolescents. Expertise includes speech sound disorders, language delays, autism, fluency, childhood apraxia of speech and AAC. Sessions can be in English or Armenian, in clinic, in the home, or by telehealth across California and Utah.

## PEERS® social skills group for teens

Ages 9–16

PEERS for Adolescents is an evidence-based social skills program developed at UCLA, led by Dr. Carla Kekejian, a UCLA-certified PEERS provider. It runs 16 weekly group sessions of 90 minutes, in person or virtually. Teens learn skills such as starting and leaving conversations, using humor, handling disagreements and teasing, electronic communication, planning get-togethers and being a good sport, through lessons, role-play and group practice. Groups are matched by age, eligibility and compatibility: ages 9-12 and ages 13-16. Families can pay with a superbill for reimbursement, typically from PPO plans, or through the regional center Self Determination Program. Pre-enrollment is by Google form, followed by a brief intake interview.
