## Speech therapy and occupational therapy

Ages 1+

Speech-language pathology and occupational therapy for toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children (adults are seen too), with consultations, evaluations, assessments and therapy. Conditions treated include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, speech and language delays, oral motor disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, and expressive and social language disorders. The approach is naturalistic and family-friendly, with individualized plans built on positive reinforcement and behavioral strategies. After each session families get feedback and at-home activities. OT is play-centered and covers fine and gross motor skills, sensory regulation, feeding (sensory aversion to textures, routines, oral-motor needs), adaptive behavior such as dressing and grooming, and social-emotional skills. Funded through Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center vendorization. Located at 5595 Huntington Drive N. in El Sereno.
