## Child and teen CBT therapy

Up to age 21

Cognitive behavioral therapy for children and teens, with a main specialty in OCD and anxiety. Treatment draws on CBT, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based CBT, and the team also uses Habit Reversal Training and Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics for body-focused repetitive behaviors and Tourette's. Executive skills coaching addresses ADHD. Clinicians treat generalized anxiety, phobias, social and separation anxiety, selective mutism, depression, insomnia and trauma. Parents are involved at a level decided together with the teen, and are taught how accommodating OCD behaviors keeps it going. Courses can be as short as 5-10 sessions or longer-term. Sessions are in person at the Glendale and Torrance offices or by live video for anyone in California; the center offers a free initial phone consultation. Sport psychology is also available with Dr. Jason von Stietz. Adults are seen too.
