## Child and adolescent psychiatry

Up to age 21

A group psychiatry practice with a child and adolescent psychiatry specialty, co-founded by child psychiatrist Ellie Mizani, MD. Care starts with an hour-long initial evaluation with a psychiatrist or psychotherapist, which leads to an individualized treatment plan. Follow-up visits range from half-hour medication-management appointments to hour-long psychotherapy visits, with longer sessions usually recommended for family meetings or complex issues. Some psychiatrists focus on medication management and others combine it with psychotherapy; therapists on the team are trained in CBT, DBT and trauma therapy. Conditions screened and treated include ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, bipolar disorder, eating disorders and insomnia. The office is at 8631 W. 3rd St., Suite 1100E, and telehealth is offered. It does not bill insurance, but gives statements for families to seek PPO reimbursement.
