## About Born to Act Players

Born to Act Players (BTAP) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) theater company for actors with and without disabilities. It began in 1996 in a small North Hollywood studio, when a handful of young people with Down syndrome started meeting weekly to memorize lines and play theater games. Mary Rings, a professional actor and mother of a cast member, still teaches weekly. The group meets at First Christian Church of North Hollywood and is supported by private foundations, individual donors and volunteers.
