## Educational therapy

Up to age 21

Individualized one-on-one educational therapy for students with learning, attention or executive functioning weaknesses, including dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, autism, anxiety that gets in the way of school, visual or auditory processing deficits and expressive language issues. Sessions use research-based intervention programs to build reading, writing, oral language, math and executive functioning skills, and weave in social cognition, mindfulness and neuro-developmental strategies for confidence and emotion regulation. Educational therapists also recommend accommodations and assistive technology such as audiobooks and text-to-speech, and communicate with teachers and other therapists. Families start with a consultation (a free phone consultation is offered), then initial sessions identify the learning profile and set goals. Sessions are usually once or twice a week, with parent meetings and written progress reports. Students may be referred or come after a neuropsychological assessment.
