## Child and adolescent psychiatry

Child and adolescent psychiatry with a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who trained in the child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at UCLA, including the UCLA Child and Adolescent Mood Disorders Clinic. Dr. Smith uses a developmental lens and often involves parents or guardians. She has a particular interest in adolescents, transitional-age youth and young adults. She treats mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders and trauma-related concerns. Her approaches include CBT, DBT, psychodynamic psychotherapy, family systems work and medication management. Care starts with a consultation period of at least three visits for children and adolescents in the first month. Adelpha accepts many commercial insurance plans, offers courtesy out-of-network billing and accepts cash pay. In-person care in Encino; telehealth when clinically appropriate.
