## ABA therapy and behavior intervention

Applied Behavior Analysis programs for children and others with autism and developmental disabilities, individualized and overseen by an ABA supervisor. Services include functional behavior assessments (done in the home, using tools such as the VB-MAPP, ABLLS and RAISD), early intervention, discrete trial teaching, intensive ABA intervention, individual parent training, adaptive skills training (community participation, self-help, functional communication, social skills, safety) and family and individual counseling by licensed psychotherapists experienced in autism. Treatment takes place at home, in school and in the community; school-based services are provided in partnership with families and school districts, and home and community services with the regional center. Paid for by school districts as a certified nonpublic agency, by regional centers as a vendor (Lanterman), or by insurance carriers as a preferred provider, and also available privately. Clinic office is in Encino.

Behavior Therapy Clinic was founded in 1997 as a private agency serving people of all ages with autism spectrum disorders and pervasive developmental disabilities. It is part of a group that includes SPG Therapy & Education, the Comprehensive Autism Center and the Family Support Center, and is registered with the state as SPG Therapy & Education, PC. Executive Clinical Director Katie Richards, MFT, BCBA, has been with the clinic since 1997. Services are delivered in homes, schools and the community across the Los Angeles area, and the clinic works with public school districts in Los Angeles County and with charter and private schools.
