## Cooperative preschool

Ages 2–6

A licensed, parent-owned cooperative preschool in Bellevue Park (Silver Lake/Echo Park) for children ages 2 to 6, with part-time, full-time and extended-day programs. Two classrooms follow a free-choice, play-based, emergent curriculum with art, music, movement, science and nature, language and physical education. Children do not need to be potty-trained. The school is open Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with limited extended options from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Families take part in the school: a monthly evening family meeting, fundraising, twelve hours of maintenance a year and a committee. Parents also hire the staff. A scholarship fund supports socioeconomic diversity. Hilltop is vendored with Lanterman Regional Center. New families first attend an orientation to learn about admissions.
