## Massie Family Clinic neurodevelopmental assessment

Up to age 18

The clinic provides comprehensive, evidence-based assessments and intervention recommendations for children from birth to 18 with possible neurodevelopmental disabilities. It sees children with autism, Down syndrome, fragile X syndrome, 22q11.2 deletion syndrome, complex ADHD, intellectual disability, and other conditions linked to brain development, metabolic disorders and genetic syndromes. A team works together to identify each child's strengths, challenges and diagnostic profile, helps families and primary care providers understand a diagnosis, and develops a family-centered treatment plan. Referrals must come from the child's primary care physician through the Physician Referral Center. A Child Life Program prepares anxious children and families for visits. Some adults with certain conditions are also seen, and the clinic supports the transition to adulthood.
