## About Deane Dance Center

Deane Dance Center is a ballet school in Sacramento run by directors Allyson Deane and Don Schwennesen, who founded it with Barbara Crockett, founder of the Sacramento Ballet. Students from age 3 through 19, plus adults, are taught from the Deane & Barbara Crockett Syllabus, which combines Cecchetti and Vaganova techniques. Students are placed in one of nine levels by age, experience and ability. The school also runs the nonprofit pre-professional company Sac Civic Ballet, with the Crockett-Deane Apprentice Company and a Petite Company, all by audition. Bi-annual ballet performances feature school and company dancers. Adult drop-in classes are offered Monday through Saturday.
