## Piano Classes

Ages 5+ · $65/month

Piano classes at Borne to Create are taught in two groups: a beginner class for ages 5-8 and an all-levels class for ages 9 and up. Beginners start with a warm-up and simple pieces played on a keyboard; older students work on recognizing tones, intervals and chords and developing pitch, then learn a song to perform in the community. The classes tie music to social-emotional skills such as cooperation and self-management. The advanced class meets Tuesdays at 5pm and the beginner class Tuesdays at 6pm at the Florin Road studio in Sacramento. Group classes cost $65 a month; private lessons are $80 an hour, scheduled with the teacher once requested.
