## Summer Music Camps

Music camp · Ages 6–15 · $225/week · 9–11am

Short summer camps held 9 to 11am for one week at a time at the Davis studio. Offerings include Drum Camp (ages 6 to 10 and ages 11 to 15), Vocal Camp, and Piano + Art Camp, with ukulele and multi-instrument camps also listed. Drum and vocal camps end with a performance or showcase; the piano camp adds drawing, painting, a musical greeting card and an air-dry clay magnet. A five-day camp costs $225 with a $45 non-refundable deposit, $25 off for each additional sibling, and a free camp T-shirt. No child care is provided before, after or between sessions.

## Private Music Lessons

Music tutoring · Ages 5+ · $150–$300/month

Weekly private lessons at the Davis studio in drum, guitar, bass guitar, piano, voice, violin, ukulele, saxophone, clarinet, flute and trumpet, for beginners through advanced players age five and older. Staff match each student to an instructor by age, level, style and goals, and students may switch instructors over time. Rooms are set up so the student and teacher each have their own instrument. Lessons cost $150 a month for 30 minutes weekly or $300 a month for 60 minutes weekly, plus a one-time $50 enrollment fee. The first lesson is a free trial. Charter school vouchers are accepted on specific terms. Payment is online by autopay or manual payment, and autopay needs 30 days' notice to cancel. The school closes one week four times a year and usually holds recitals in spring and fall.

## About Music Lab Davis

Music Lab Davis is a music school in the Westlake Plaza off Highway 113, above Super Owl, serving families from Davis, Woodland, Dixon and nearby areas. It is part of Music Lab, which grew out of Drum Lab, a drum school that opened in May 2005 and added other instruments after about 11 years. The Davis school teaches drum, guitar, bass, piano, voice, violin, ukulele, saxophone, clarinet, flute and trumpet to students from beginner to advanced, age five and up. It matches each student with an instructor by style and goals, holds recitals (called showcases) usually twice a year, and runs short summer camps.
