Players join by audition; the ensembles take less seasoned youth with at least one year of experience as well as intermediate and advanced players. Students learn music history and theory, perform in more than 20 concerts a year, and some ensembles tour locally or internationally. The Classic Strings ensemble rehearses Tuesday evenings at 601 N. 10th Street, and the Classic Winds, Brass and Percussion group meets Thursday evenings online.
