Parents describe their child's characteristics and needs when registering, and the child is matched with an instructor suited to them. Lessons are one-on-one or two students to one teacher, using a muscle memory technique and rollover breathing, and private lessons run 20 minutes. There are no fixed sessions: families start and stop whenever they like and can change their schedule at any time. Teaching pools are heated year-round to about 92-93 degrees. Parents stay on deck and may watch. The school is vendored with Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center, and a scholarship page is listed for families seeking aid. No trial lessons are offered, but a refund is available on the first day of a first package.","categories":["swimming"],"ages":{"min":0,"max":21},"format":"in-person","financialAid":true,"registration":{"url":"https://www.waterworksswim.com/lessons/adaptive-lessons","status":"open"},"tutoring":{"subjects":["swimming"],"modes":["at-location"]},"traits":{"specialNeeds":"focused","conditions":["autism","adhd","cerebral-palsy","down-syndrome","sensory-processing"],"insurance":["regional-center"],"groupSize":["one-on-one","small-group"],"ratio":2,"sessionMinutes":20,"parents":"watch","commitment":"ongoing","trialClass":false,"setting":"indoor","goals":["skills","confidence","fitness","wellbeing"],"feel":"A swim school where each child is matched with an instructor for short, personalized lessons, with flexible scheduling and parents watching from the deck.","topics":["adaptive-swim","water-safety","flexible-scheduling","vendored-elarc","vendored-sclarc","autism-society-partner","muscle-memory-technique","scholarships","several-la-sites","heated-pool"]},"source":{"url":"https://www.waterworksswim.com/lessons/adaptive-lessons","name":"Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center vendor list, November 2025","fetched":"2026-10-12"}}],"source":{"url":"https://www.waterworksswim.com/location-pricing-overview/culver-city","fetched":"2026-10-07"},"updated":"2026-10-12","checked":null,"closed":null,"sample":false}
