It combines interviews with the student, parents and teachers, standardized rating scales and performance-based measures. It usually takes three to four testing sessions of two to three hours each, and the whole process runs about 4 to 6 weeks, ending with a written report and a one-hour review meeting. The report can include a DSM-5 diagnosis and school eligibility findings, and can document needs for 504 plans, IEPs and college accommodations. Sessions are in the Pasadena office, in homes in the Los Angeles area for an extra fee, or by telehealth anywhere in California. It is private pay, with a free 20-minute consultation first and six months of interest-free financing available.","categories":["developmental-evaluation","child-therapy"],"ages":{"min":7,"max":21},"health":{"specialties":["Psychoeducational assessment","ADHD and executive functioning assessment","Autism evaluation","Dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia assessment","Twice-exceptional and gifted assessment","IEP and 504 consultation","Independent educational evaluations"],"practitioners":["Erica Salzman, M.S., LEP"]},"traits":{"specialNeeds":"focused","conditions":["adhd","autism","learning-disabilities"],"delivery":["clinic","in-home"],"telehealth":true,"insurance":["self-pay"],"assessment":true,"acceptingNew":true,"trialClass":true,"progressReports":true,"parents":"watch","feel":"Strength-based and unhurried, with time for nervous students to settle before testing begins and reports written in plain language for parents and schools."}}],"source":{"url":"https://theexceptionallearner.com/services/assessment/adhd/","fetched":"2026-10-13"},"updated":"2026-10-13","checked":"2026-10-13","closed":null,"sample":false}
